What we collect
- Your email address or phone number, and password if you set one.
- Your handle and optional display name, which are shown publicly on your comments, and your timezone.
- Your library: shows you follow, their status, favourites, watched episodes, ratings, lists, and recommendations you dismiss.
- Comments and likes, which are public, and reports and blocks, which are not.
- A push token for your device, only if you turn on alerts.
- IP addresses in server logs, for security.
We run no ads or analytics, do not track you across other apps or sites, and do not sell your data.
Why
- To provide the service you signed up for (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To send episode alerts, with your consent, which you can withdraw by turning them off (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To keep the service secure, moderate discussions, and show average ratings (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who processes it
Service providers acting only on our instructions and bound to protect the data as we do: our hosting provider in the EU, artwork storage, an SMS provider for phone sign-in codes, an email provider for account emails and moderation alerts, and Expo, Apple and Google for push notifications. Some of them may process data outside the EEA under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Reports are kept for up to 12 months after they are handled. Server logs are kept briefly and rotated out automatically.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict your data, or object to how it is used, by writing to tvbingediary@gmail.com. You can delete your account yourself at any time — see Delete your account. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and to make the site work offline. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
You must be at least 13, or 16 in the EEA and the UK.
Changes
We post changes here with a new effective date.
